Ingredients
- 2½ cups sweetened shredded coconut
- 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions
1. Preheat the oven
Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. Mix coconut base
In a bowl combine:
- shredded coconut
- sweetened condensed milk
- vanilla extract
Mix until the coconut is evenly coated.
3. Whip the egg whites
In another bowl, beat egg whites and salt until soft peaks form.
4. Fold together
Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the coconut mixture.
5. Shape the macaroons
Scoop about 1–2 tablespoons of mixture and form small mounds on the baking sheet.
6. Bake
Bake for 18–22 minutes until the tops turn golden brown.
7. Cool
Let them cool completely on the tray.

- Melt chocolate in the microwave or double boiler.
- Dip the bottoms of the macaroons or drizzle chocolate on top.
